Transport and Distribution (Warehouse and Storage)

This program is applicable for a role in general warehouse duties such as housekeeping, receipting, stock locating, stock maintenance, stock replenishment, forklift operation, order picking, stocktaking and reconciliation and order checking and dispatch. Fields available for selection include handling cargo and stock, equipment checking and maintenance, load handling, occupational health and safety, communication and calculations, customer service, quality, computers and technology, resource management, financial management, records and pallet operations.


Certificate II 

14 units are required for this qualification.

Certificate I Modules

7 units at Certificate I level are to be made up of at least 5 units and up to 7 units from those listed for the Certificate 1 in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage) and up to 2 suitable units (aligned at Certificate I level) from either other Transport and Distribution Certificate I qualifications, or other relevant Training Packages.

Suggested Pathway:

  • Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • Participate in basic workplace communication
  • Follow OHS procedures
  • Conduct housekeeping activities
  • Work effectively with others
  • Apply customer service skills
  • Complete workplace orientation/induction procedures

Certificate II Modules

7 units at Certificate II level are to be made up of at least 5 units and up to 7 units from those listed or the Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage) and up to 2 suitable units (Aligned at Certificate II level) from either other Transport and Distribution Certificate II qualifications, or other relevant Training Packages.

Certificate III

21 units are required for this qualification with 7 units aligned at Certificate I level (please refer to Certificate II) and 7 units aligned at Certificate II level (please refer to Certificate II). 7 units at Certificate III level are to be made up of at least 5 units and up to 7 units from those listed for the Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage) within this document and up to 2 suitable units (aligned at Certificate III level) from either other Transport and Distribution Certificate III qualifications, or other relevant Training Packages.
